Tata AIA launches AI and mid-cap funds for ULIPs

Offer period runs from 24 to 31 March, with entry pricing set at $0.11.

Tata AIA Life Insurance has launched three new funds aimed at giving policyholders access to India’s growth sectors and global technology trends through its unit-linked insurance plans (ULIPs).

The new offerings are the Large Mid Cap Innovation Fund, the Large Mid Cap Innovation Pension Fund, and the Global AI & Technology Leaders Fund.

The new fund offer (NFO) runs from 24 to 31 March, with units priced at $0.11 (INR10 )for the domestic funds and $10 for the global fund.

The Large Mid Cap Innovation Fund will invest in Indian large- and mid-cap companies linked to innovation-led sectors, targeting long-term capital growth.

The pension version of the fund follows a similar strategy but is structured for retirement planning, combining equity exposure with life insurance cover under a pension framework.

The Global AI & Technology Leaders Fund will invest in international companies involved in artificial intelligence, semiconductors, cloud infrastructure, and digital platforms.

It follows a passive strategy tracking a global index, with equity exposure ranging from 70% to 100%.

For the domestic funds, equity allocation will range from 60% to 100%, with up to 40% in debt and money market instruments. The benchmark for the domestic strategy is the NSE 500 Index.
