The agreement aims to deepen industry knowledge through joint research on green transportation and participation in green insurance events.
A joint statement said the partnership reflects the shared commitment of both parties to support China’s 15th Five-Year Plan, which places the development of new energy vehicles, green transportation, and intelligent industries at the heart of the country’s economic agenda.
A central pillar of the partnership is the joint development of intelligent motor insurance claims solutions.
With the ability to calculate CO₂ emissions on every claim, Solera and Generali will leverage the deployment of Solera’s AI solutions to improve claims efficiency, accuracy and overall environmental outcome.
The initiative also supports a broader industry shift away from replacement-first approaches toward smarter, greener repair models.
With China’s EV market continuing to expand at pace, the partnership also establishes a framework for tripartite collaboration between Solera, Generali, and relevant startups to develop comprehensive electric vehicle solutions.
These will span AI-driven motor claims assessment, AI battery assessment, and access to Solera’s battery repair partner network — together advancing a more sustainable and cost-effective model for EV aftermarket services and claims.
