General insurance business expanded 14.22% to $14.4m.
Cambodia’s insurance industry recorded gross premiums of $35.23m in June 2026, up 8.72% from $32.40m in the same month last year, according to the Insurance Regulator of Cambodia.
General insurance premiums increased by 14.22% to $14.44m, from $12.65m in June 2025. Life insurance premiums rose by 5.20% to $20.78m, compared with $19.76m a year earlier.
The total number of policies fell by 73.49% to 117,241, from 442,184. General insurance policies declined by 62.52% to 25,739, whilst life insurance policies dropped by 75.50% to 91,502.
Despite the lower policy count, the total sum insured increased by 14.52% to $10.48b. The sum insured for general insurance rose by 14.97% to $8.41b, whilst life insurance increased by 12.72% to $2.07b.
Gross claims incurred reached $6.08m, up 13.60% from $5.35m in June 2025. General insurance claims increased by 8.03% to $4.06m, whilst life insurance claims rose by 26.77% to $2.01m.
