Sompo revenue seen rising 12.3% as 2026 rebound takes hold

Annual growth is pegged at 5.5% from 2027.

Japanese insurer Sompo Holdings is setting its sights on steady long-term expansion, backed by projected top-line revenue gains, operational efficiencies, and a substantial boost in shareholder returns.

Financial forecasts project Sompo’s net earned premiums to climb 7.3% in fiscal 2026 to $31.8b (JPY5,048.0b), up from $29.6b (JPY4,705.3b) in 2025, according to the Morningstar equity report.

Revenue expansion is expected to maintain a steady 5.5% annual growth rate from 2027 through 2031, with net earned premiums projected to reach $41.6b (JPY6,597.5b) by 2031.

Total revenue is forecast to hit $37.1b (JPY5,890.6b) in 2026—a 12.3% surge—before expanding towards $48.4b (JPY7,690.5b) by 2031.

Following a sharp rebound in fiscal 2026, net income is projected to reach $4.0b (JPY640.1b). 

Bottom-line performance is expected to stabilise over the long term, reaching $4.4b (JPY694.3b) by 2031.($1.00 = JPY159.27)
